We stayed at Hotel Europa 6 years ago when it was still a Provobis hotel and it was wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was furnished beautifully. The bed linnens were of the finest quality, even on the sofa bed and it was kept immaculately. In addition the food at the restaurant was phenomenal! Fresh seafood was brought in every day (the poached salmon was the bst I've ever eaten) and the continental breakfast was HUGE. This hotel was comparable to some of the Four Seasons and Hyatts I've stayed at. |

This was our first visit to Sweden, to a city I had never heard of. The Provobis Europa put us right in the center of town, it's attached to a large shopping center and across from the train station. While my husband was doing business, I spent the days walking from one great neighborhood to another, checking out the local shopping, feeling quite safe the whole time. Our room was nicely decorated in the warm wood tones you'd expect in Scandinavia, and the continental breakfast was unbelievable. I would have given the hotel an "excellent" review if they had responded to a letter I sent them after our trip, requesting information on something I saw in the hotel. But they didn't, so I'll say "above average" instead. Gothenborg was great. |
