Excellent value for money!
If you are in search of a place to stay in Cairo i would definitely recommend this hotel. I stayed here at the start of June and enjoyed every moment of my stay so much. The hotel is located very conveniently right by the side of Nile and very close to the center. (2-3 minutes walk). If you want to visit the world famous pyramids of Giza, it takes only 20 minutes ride to get there. Very convenient really! The hotel seems abit dated from outside but once you set your foot from the doorstep you feel the warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel has a modern decoration inside. The rooms are also comfortably furnished with all the necessary facilities such as a TV with international channels, air condition, a comfortable bed and a large wardrobe. The bedroom is very modern and clean. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of food. There are many restaurants in the hotel area so finding food that would appeal every taste is pretty easy. Staff was very friendly and the service was fast. I loved Shepheard Hotel and would stay here again next time while in Cairo!
