Cabanas resort is a small informal resort of Malay style cabins in tropical gardens, situated on a stretch of golden beach. It is run by Martin and Heather Briggs who have been associated with the island for 20 years. They have recently refurbished the cabins, retaining the simple Malay style, but with funky bathrooms and beds with white cotton linen.
The bar, restaurant and lounge are situated on the beach front with stunning views of Pulau Tingi. Decorated in Malay style with local teak lounge furniture, it is perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine or making new friends at the bar. |

The journey by road takes approximately 2 hours from Johor Bahru to the ferry terminal at Tanjung Leman.
From Kuala Lumpur the drive would be about 5 hours.
The boat trip from Tanjung Leman to the island takes about 20 minutes by speedboat. |

| PROPERTY AMENITIES |
|
* For the energetic there are kayaks to hire, beach volley ball, badminton or mini tennis. Or you can trek through the jungle to other beaches or the local kampong.
* Traditional Malay massage available at beach front spa for those who want to be pampered a little.
* To hide from the sun - or if a tropical downpour hits - we have indoor games such as table tennis and carom or curl up in our library with a good book. |

| ROOM AMENITIES |
|
* There are two types of accommodation at the resort, all with sea view. The Cabanas Chalets are semi-detached air-conditioned bungalows, with Queen sized bed, an extra single bed and en-suite bathroom. Some Cabanas are larger family sized units.
* The Labamba Chalets are detached Malay style thatched bungalows with large verandahs, overhead fans, romantic four poster beds with mosquitoes net and on en-suite bathrooms with hot showers.
* All chalets have new beds, linen and towels and beach towels are also provided from the bar area. We ask you not to smoke in the rooms.
* The Resort also have a Malay style "Kampong House", a 2 bedroomed, fan-cooled unit with hot water shower in the bathroom. The Master bedroom has a 4 poster bed with mosquito net and its own vanity washbasin. The second bedroom has 3 single beds, each with individual mosquito nets. |

| CANCELLATION POLICY |
|
1. No penalty for cancellations up to the defined cancellation deadline of Sibu Island Cabanas Resort Hotel Johor Bahru.
2. Cancellations made within the cancellation deadline will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
3. No-shows will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
4. No cancellations on or after check-in date.
