Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel is a luxury class new hotel, which opened in November 2001 and will remain open all year.
The centre of Athens can be reached in around 1 hour with the airport shuttle service number E95, running every 20 minutes from the airport to the Consitution Square Sintagma and back.
The hotel's ninth (top) floor has a large indoor pool area with saunas, fitness room, and hair salon offering massages and spa services. The rooftop Karavi restaurant is ship-shaped and serves gourmet French and international cuisine. The pool, restaurant, and adjacent lounge offer great views of the airport and/or the surrounding countryside. |

* Mesoghaia Restaurant:
This lobby level restaurant is decorated with archways and a soothing sky-blue décor. Some outdoor seating is available (weather permitting). Mediterranean menu with extensive wine list. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
* Karavi Restaurant:
Located on the hotel's ninth floor, this ship-shaped restaurant is open for dinner and serves gourmet French and international cuisine. The restaurant offers a panoramic view of the airport and surrounding countryside. A small bar, the Karavi Lounge, is adjacent. Piano music nightly.
* Artemis Bar:
This lobby bar serves also serves light meals and snacks and has a small library area. Live piano music is offered most evenings. Patio seating available (weather permitting).
* The hotel, with its lobby bar and restaurant, rooftop gourmet restaurant and lounge, and conference and meeting facilities, is popular with business travelers. Hotel has a lobby lounge with nightly piano music, meeting and conference facilities, and a large indoor rooftop pool with adjacent fitness center, sauna, and hair salon with spa services. |

Stayed at Sofitel, Athens Airport, August 2002 for a few hours (flight left 5AM). One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in! Seriously, this is an airport hotel and not convenient to Athens city proper, but really nice as far as materials used, amenities...
My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel one night before catching our flight to Kefallonia, one of the Greek Islands. The hotel is fabulous. The staff was wonderful. We had the most comfortable bed and the bathroom was luxurious.
One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was incredible. The breakfast was great. Very expensive, but well worth it in my book.
