Sep 23, 2008 In 1972 the Sokos Hotel Viru was the first skyscraper to be built in Tallinn and, since then, it has become an inseparable part of the city.The Mermaid restaurant offers delicious dishes and, with its live piano music, can turn your evening into a romantic memorable occasion.

Alternatively you can choose the Cafe Amigo, the town's favourite nightclub where the best Estonian blues bands perform every night. On the other hand, Bar Bogart evokes Hollywood's golden age with melodies from famous films; you can even watch "Casablanca" whilst sipping one of the many whiskies on offer.

* The hotel will be carrying out renovation works on the rooms from the 15th February until the 15th March 2012.

Sokos Hotel Viru, located right in the heart of Tallinn, everything is just a short distance away.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

* The hotel's Merineitsi restaurant serves a continental buffet breakfast from 07:00 until 11:00. The Merineitsi, on the second floor, is also open for dinner 7 days a week from 18:00 until 00:00.

* The Amarillo restaurant serves Mexican food and cocktails. It also has a large outdoor terrace which can seat up to 400 people.

* The hotel's Marco Polo bar, named after the explorer, on the ground floor serves a wide range of beverages well into the evening. Drinks are also available in Bar Bogart, a karaoke and dance club on the second floor, until around 01:00. If you are still feeling energised after Bar Bogart shuts you can enjoy free entry at Cafe Amigo, one of Tallinn's leading night clubs, where rock and blues bands jam away until 04:00 or 05:00 every morning.
