Nordic style of living
From the 3 leading Lappeenranta hotel this is the one with the longest distance to Saimaa lake and passenger harbour, but it is well integrated in an administration and shopping complex and offers garage parking for its guests.
Welcome was professional, although the large party arriving parallel to us seemed to be more interesting for the staff, because of their convention booking. The rooms are mid-size, well decorated in colourful Scandinavian style and offer a fully equipped bathroom with tub and a lot of amenities. Try to avoid room 328 which is in the NE corner of the building, where you will enjoy day and night - due to the traffic lights at the crossing -the stop & go noise of the passing cars.
We appreciated the wellness facilities and the rich hot buffet breakfast selection with some Karelian specialities. The early breakfast start around 6:30 enabled us to easily catch our excursion boat to Vyborg (Russia).

Quality accomodation in Eastern Finland
High quality hotel in the center of this Karelian town. Ideal for boat/bus cruises to Vyborg and St. Petersburg. Friendlzy welcome.Large rooms in Scandinavian design, healthy breakfast. Try Karjalan piirakka together with you breakfast ham. Free parking, free sauna. Short walk to the harbour and beach of Lake Saimaa.
