The 3 star Sonne Hotel is a traditional family hotel with an extremely cozy atmosphere. Guests at the hotel can benefit from the use of a big garden, a children's playground and a wonderful Swiss style restaurant.
The hotel was built in 1875 in a chalet style. The visitors cannot fail to be charmed not only by the property, but also the wonderful surroundings.
The hotel offers to the mountainbikers very nice rooms to relaxe, technical service and bike rental, indivdual biker's meal's, massage, tour info's and guide, laundry service, luggage transports. |

Sonne Hotel is located about 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Interlaken in the peaceful suburb of Matten, next to the main road leading up to Grindelwald.
The hotel arranges Adventure Days for the guests that included River rafting paragliding, ice climbing and biking : In the morning guests do a spectacular Riverraft on the challenging, powerful mountain river, the Lütschine at Interlaken's "back door". Feel free like a bird up in the sky in the late afternoon's sunset, high above the golden roof's of Interlaken.
Trek amidst the snowcapped peaks on glacier snow terrain. Learn the ice wall reppeling and ice climb your heart out with our professional mountain guides. Absolutely no experience necessarey. All climbing equipement provided
The Adventure Days finish with a smooth mountain - bike ride along the waterfall's of Lauterbrunnen valley up to the best fruitpie at Juerg's Trachsellauenen restaurant. |

It has a window the full length of the front of the building overlooking the street. The decor is simple and rustic with heavy wooden tables and chairs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visting interlaken. Really magnificient rooms with good facilities. Excellent breakfast and easy access to the railway and bus stations
We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The hotel is about a mile away from town, removed from "hotel row" and that was really nice for us. The clientele was German, French and British when we were there and so we were the only Americans which was a treat...
Hotel is very nice . Location is good. Owner is very nice person and helpful. Compare to other hotels it is nice and cheap. finally i was very happy to stay there.
