Fablous experience at Starhotel Anderson
Starhotel Anderson was a pleasant surprise for us that exceeded our expectations as I read some other reviews on internet. I have spend 3 nights in Milan and it was absolutely fantastic. I have chosen Starhotel Anderson primarily due to its location and I wasn’t disappointed. The hotel was right across the street from the train station, subway and airport shuttle stops to take you anywhere you would wish.
I have arrived lat at night and was very hungry with no options around, but very nice and caring staff organized a little meal for me that was a very nice. I greatly appreciate the courteous and helful staff. My room was surprisingly big for European standards, besides very clean and comfortable as well as bathroom. As for the breakfast, it was a nice spread of cold items. The hotel hosts a little gym that I haven’t visited. The only downside that I would say was that internet is a bit pricy, but it was just 3 night stay, so I could survive.
Other than that, the overall experience at Starhotel Anderson was fabulous. As the service was always consistently satisfying, the room was well-appointed, the dining facility offered some nice delicious meals, and on the top of the location was superb.

This was a lovely, modern hotel, with the best beds in all of Italy. We stayed at many higher end and higher-priced places, but this hotel was the most comfortable. The best was it's great location to the train station and the Metro. The staff was amazing, polite, friendly, and very helpful. We liked it so much, we cancelled our return hotel, and booked an extra night here. Great find!!

I just stayed at the Hotel anderson recently and as a travel savvy professional traveller, I have to say that this is one of the best. I am The Travelling Gourmet and as such I have to travel everywhere to taste exotic food and winsome wines to write and broadcast about them. From complimentary internet in the lobby lounge to pay to use internet TV in your room,
this hotel has all you need to keep going, whether you are on the go on vacation, or just on special assignment. Just across from the huge and imposing Centrale Stazioni built by Mussolini, you can walk there in 5 minutes or less and just hop on to the Malpensa Airport express coach which gets you to the airport in 45 minutes or less and... get this, for only 4.5 Euros. Cool! The art deco style rooms are spacious and well equipped with all mod cons. The restaurant serves great "Nouvelle Italian" cuisine, but big eaters, stay cool... the portions are big, not small, so you won't get 3 ravioli on your plate like at some trendy up market restaurants in LA, USA.
I just hate people who always knock hotel restaurants, most of the time they don't even know what they are talking about. Always remember that hotel restaurants get "economies of scale" and properly trained chefs, most of the time, unlike many independents and small operators. Having trained at the Harvad of haute cuisine, CIA (Culinary Institute of America), I know what I'm talking about. Just minutes walk from the nearby Metropolitana (subway) station you can get anywhere in Milano for 1 Euro or slightly more. Very convenient for visiting the Duomo and Castello Sforza. If you got the legs for it, you can also walk to Corso Napoleone which is the main fashion shopping area in 15 minutes or more. If you need anything, just look for charming, friendly and macho Signor Giuliano who is a great guy. The staff here are honest too. On my most recent trip, I left my cufflinks which are of great sentimental value to me in my room. Back in South East Asia, I called the hotel and they had found my cufflinks. They sent it to me by registered mail very soon after my call!
Josh the bellman from L'ile Maurice is also a good guy. Stay here when you are in Milan. You will not regret it. By Dr. Michael Lim The

Maybe not strictly a hotel review as I did'nt stay but i did go in for lunch & to take advantage of a rarity in Milan-their wireless access! I have to say I was stunned by the greatness of what I saw. The hotel is right next to Central Station which may concern you but on walking in all preconceptions i had disapperead. It is without a doubt one of the most beautifully presented modern hotels i have seen in a while. Very stylish wood & red walls with lots of glass etc. Met with a doormans smile & then proceeded to have lunch in the oriental decor-style lounge/restuarant. The staff were simply lovely-very accomodating to create a special salad for me & very delicious food. I am so impressed I will be staying here next time I am in Milan. A fantastic 1st impression!
