i stayed 4 nights in march 2004 in a classic room. the classic rooms are located in the back of the hotel and they are very very quite. i was offered an upgrade to deluxe room but the room is a little noisy because they face the steet so i passed the offer. the classic rooms are not so big but i guess they are standard paris size double room. the breakfast is very very good and so is the staff. i will return when i can.

This is a very nice hotel located on the street adjacent to the Place Vendome and just a few hundred yards from the Place de la Concorde.
Metro access is very good for sightseeing. The hotel has a lovely lobby and friendly (English speaking) staff. There was a problem with the air conditioning in the room we were assigned, but they immediately gave us a new room and upgraded us to a suite for our inconvience. There is a really nice Italian restaurant in the hotel as well. Overall, the hotel was very good. It is exactly what we expected for the price paid.

I stayed at Hotel Castille a few years back and found the hotel to be just lovely. Our room was immaculate and well-decorated, the bathroom was gorgeous, with windows that opened out onto the street, the sink was set in an "antique" stand, and the whole thing was just impressive. The concierge and the other people working at the hotel were professional, well-versed in local restaurants, etc., and very nice. I can't wait to go back.
I also especially liked it's smaller size. I think you get a better feel for a city and for the essence of Europe in general when you stay in a smaller hotel. One final note - you cannot get a better location than Hotel Castille.
