Strand Hotel is quite a historical hotel. The building itself and the surrounding area, in which the hotel is located, were built in the late 1920’s. Originally, the building housed two separate hotels named “Fønix Hotel” and “City Hotel”. Olaf Jørgen Strand bought the two hotels in 1969, and united them to the hotel that today is the Strand.
In 2000 “Ofotens og Vesteraalens Dampskibselskab asa” (OVDS) bought the Strand Hotel. OVDS also owns 6 of the 11 “Hurtigruten” ships, and is a major participant in the Norwegian transport and tourism industry. |

Strand Hotel is located right in the heart of the city, and boasts one of Bergen’s greatest views. From the sun terrace and indeed from most of our rooms and suites, you can see some of Bergen’s finest attractions such as the Fish Market, “Bryggen”, “Vågen” and “Fløien”. |

| CANCELLATION POLICY |

1. No penalty for cancellations up to the defined cancellation deadline of Strand Hotel Bergen.
2. Cancellations made within the cancellation deadline will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
3. No-shows will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
4. No cancellations on or after check-in date.
