A split-level bar-restaurant, with gilt-framed mirrors and potted palms set against cream-colored walls. The raised dining area has tartan-upholstered chairs and striped wood floors, while the lower bar-lounge features red-and-black tiled flooring, bistro tables, and armchairs. Sandwiches, burgers, and pasta are served, and a fixed-price dinner menu offers modern European cuisine. The Continental buffet breakfast is served here. Capacity 100.
* The Mask Bar:
Serving cocktails from early evening until the early hours, the air-conditioned Mask Bar attracts the business crowd and features teak paneling, bistro tables, and diamond-patterned banquettes surround the black granite wave-shaped bar. Capacity 50 seated. Open 5 PM-2 AM.
* 372 The Strand:
Offers the original English Carvery buffet. A limited 'a la carte' menu of grills and stir fry is also available.
* Hops!:
A lively bar with great prices for central London an ideal place to meet after work. Large screen showing sporting events. Snack menu also available. Opening hours Tues-Sat 4.30 till 11pm.
* The recently refurbished Strand Academy provides the ideal venue for meetings, conferences and exhibitions. Its modern setting has also attracted clientele seeking stylish surroundings for luncheons, receptions, weddings and other private events. |
