The Gateshead Swallow is located just one mile from the famous Newcastle quayside, making it an ideal base from which to explore the local area.The hotel also offers free secure covered car parking.

The Gateshead Swallow comprises 103 en-suite bedrooms, with each providing direct dial telephones, as well as internet access. Each room also supplies a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. 24 hour reception is also available.

The Gateshead Swallow's Hadrian's Restaurant can cater for upto 150 guests and offers a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes. Hadrian's Bar is an excellent place for a pre-dinner drink or for somewhere to just sit and relax.

The Gateshead Swallow offers extensive conference, meeting and events facilities covering three floors of the hotel. The largest room is capable of comfortably holding upto 350 delegates. All rooms benefit from natural sunlight and spacious lounge / break out areas. The Berwick Suite also has vehicle access.

LOCATION

There are many attractions within a short drive from the hotel such as Hadrian's Wall, the Angel of the North and the fantastic shopping and nightlife for which Newcastle is famous.

* The hotel can accommodate weddings for up to 350 guests in the Ravensworth Suite and 150 in the Bewick. Both these suites are fully self contained with bars, reception areas, dance floors and air-conditioning.

* The Ravensworth Suite accommodates up to 350 guests, is fully air conditioned with a large dance floor, adaptive lighting and enjoys its own bar and reception area. It can also be divided into three separate sound proofed areas, namely the Lambton, Penshaw and Shipley Suites for smaller groups. For guests requiring projection facilities the suite has an extended ceiling height and black-out facilities.The Bewick Suite is also fully self contained and can cater for up to 150 guests and benefits from natural daylight.
