very convenient and budget wise place
I have stayed at Tegnerlunden hotel while attending the conference. This hotel is very convenient to the main pedestrian shopping street, so it was very easy to find everything we needed. Getting a cab was simple and quick. Alternatively, buses ran nearby. Most of the desk clerks were very efficient and helpful. The housekeeping staff was very good. Terrific breakfast with outdoor seating for warm weather. Small room and bathroom but very clean with plenty of storage. A downside of the room was that it was facing the currently going on construction works, which inevitable created a noise pollution. On the whole, Tegnerlunden hotel is a very convenient and budget wise place to stay when taking into consideration Stockholm’s expensive life.

Good value hotel with charm
We stayed in Hotel Tegnerlunden for a night on our way to a canoeing holiday and it really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is central and within the walking distance from the railway station and airport buses. Walking to the Gamla Stan is also easy. Whilst from outside the hotel looks a bit like an office building it's very nice inside - clean and fresh rooms and color scheme, with some nautical themes. Our room was facing construction area, not much of view obviously, but that was not of our interest in anyway. Our room itself was very compact but functional. The breakfast room on the top floor has a terrace which is very pleasant on a sunny morning. The buffet was well stocked and excellent too.
The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a good value for money place with charm – we would really recommend Hotel Tegnerlunden.
