Built in Baroque style by Hungarian nobleman Baron Šalgo in 1767, Château Šalgovce has been lovingly restored and transformed into luxurious accommodation. The Château, surrounded by rolling countryside, vineyards and picturesque hills, is located just 7 miles from the world-famous spa town of Piešťany, and less than an hour from Slovakia's beautiful capital, Bratislava.
The Château, with French and Habsburg period furniture, Venetian crystal chandeliers, antique mirrors, and decorated with silks from the East, provides elegant and refined surroundings, that is once again ready to welcome nobility.
The Château's guest suites and bedrooms offer exquisite accommodation for the discerning client, with French sleigh beds, coronets and silk canopies, chaise lounges and writing bureaux, Baroque plasterwork, crystal chandeliers and lamps, slipper baths and even a room with its own private sauna. All rooms come complete with broadband access, lcd television and dvd player. Many of The Château's rooms have beautiful original vaulted ceilings.
