Apr 29, 2007 The Grassmarket Hotel occupies a key location in Edinburgh city centre, located in the historic Grassmarket area, only two minutes walk from The Royal Mile. The history and culture of Edinburgh is not only on your doorstep, it is part of the fabric of the building. A busy social area, The Grassmarket has a wide array of bars, restaurants and speciality shops and comes to life in the evening with a mix of students, Edinburgh residents and visitors to the city.

The Hotel comprises of forty five bedrooms of a 2* budget, arranged over the upper floors, most of which are accessible via the central lift, many of the rooms offer views of the world famous Grassmarket below and all rooms benefit from TV's, en-suite facilities and Tea & Coffee making facilities. Wireless internet is available within the public areas of the hotel.

The hotel operates on a room only basis, however, in the morning a full Scottish breakfast is available for a very reasonable price in Biddy Mulligans Pub on the ground floor, the pleasant atmosphere and hearty breakfast served by our helpful staff combine to form a great start to any day in Edinburgh.

Please note that the hotel complies with the smoking restrictions in the city and is Non smoking.

LOCATION

Transport links to The Grassmarket Hotel are superb, Edinburgh Waverley Train Station is only five minutes walk away and Edinburgh Airport is a mere 6 miles and a multitude of bus services run frequently to many locations from the central Princes Street hub.

Local attractions include Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, The Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. All can be easily reached by foot as the delights of Edinburgh are right on the doorstep.
