Thistle Trafalgar Square Hotel
Don't be fooled by this hotel's 4 star rating. What you will experience in customer service and facilities would barely rate as a two star in my book. The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. So if you're prepared to put up with unbelievable tiny rooms and extremely poor customer service in order to be centrally located - this is your place. Though I would recommend you find anywhere else in the whole of London that would be better than this or at least be able to offer you a better all round deal.

My sister and myself stayed at the Thistle Hotel in Trafalgar Square for 5 nights, the room that we had on the first night was very small even though it was the twin deluxe, the following morning I asked to be moved to a larger room, this was done straight away, the room was much better. Apart from one person all the staff were very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel was excellent, and we will definitely be staying there again in October. Looking forward to it.

After reading the reviews posted here I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel. I didn't need to be. The staff were some of the most helpful and polite I've encountered at a hotel and the service was excellent. I've stayed at quite a few London hotel's and this was one of the best experiences. The food was good and the breakfast excellent. The room was spotless and in excellent condition. Why the other people have complained I don't know. Perhaps they are used to staying at the Ritz or the Savoy?! Above all it was the staff's attitude which made it a joy to stay there. With it's location so central to attractions etc. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

great location, right in the middle of all the action. The price to be paid is the noise. 2 tube stations nearby (Leicester Sq. & charring cross). Room was what we had expected for a london hotel (smallish but adquate). Great breakfast buffet. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. We arrived 3 hours before check in and were provided a room on the spot.

This hotel is clean and the room comfortable. We thought the location was terrific because everything was a short stroll away . The tube was right there too. It was easy to get to from Heathrow by Heathrow Express (15 mins) to Paddington then direct by tube( 10 mins) . National Gallery is next door, London eye a 10 minute walk and Buckingham Palace 10 minutes walk also. From the hotel door, if you walk left, Trafalgar Square is right around the corner and if you go right at hotel door you are on Leicester Square which we found had a good selection of restaurants. Theatres and TKTS ticket booth very closeby. Covent Grden 6 min walk. Hotel staff were Pleasant . Would stay there again.
