The Victoria Hotel in Sliema is an ideal spot to stay on your journey to Malta. A close walk to many excellent restaurants, shopping and the bus, the hotel features excellent views of Sliema and Valetta from the roof-top pool and the surprisingly helpful and pleasant staff are always on hand. Rooms are a fair size and sport comfortable furniture.
Beware that the ACs will make your room considerably cooler than outdoors, but it never reaches room temperature.

The Victoria Hotel is a superb high quality hotel. We can not fault the hotel in anyway. The staff are so helpful and always smiling. The rooms are of a high quality with all the added extras i.e. air conditioning, t.v. minibar (which is not expensive) the food was of a good quality and plenty of it. The whole hotel is run to a very high standard and as a guest you are made to feel special. The hotel is situated in a residential area but is in easy reach of the sea front or harbour. If you are thinking of visiting Sliema then I can highly recommend the Victoria as the place to stay.

We've just got back17/02/04 after staying for a week at the Hotel Victoria. The hotel was great and it had the best bed I've slept in it was so comfortable. The hotel is on top of a hill so may not be suitable for some but although not on the sea front it is in a good location. the food was buffet stlye all you could eat affair, and was fine rather than fantastic but you could go A-La-Carte if you wanted.the rooftop terrace looked nice although it was closed while we were there. the pool was on the small side but thats not a critisism just a fact. The staff are warm and friendly and the bar a nice comfortable place to have a drink or two.The view from our room was over the rooftops of Sliema but it never bothered us but if you want a room with a view request a 7th floor room with an odd number standing on the rooftop terrace above these rooms we reckon they had views overlooking the harbour towards Valletta. If you want a room with a double bed rather than twin beds I would advise you to e-mail ahead(like I did) with your request, especially for the 7th floor rooms
