Nice Hotel with all the facilities one would expect of a five star establishment.
The only complaint I have is they never posted postcards for us having handed them in at reception. They indicated this would be no problem but it transpires it was. If we had known this we could easily have found a letter box and posted them ourselves.
We stayed in room 917 from Marh 22 to March 29, so if anyone from the Tivoli reads this and they find these postcards lying around reception perhaps they could post them on? |

Stayed at the Tivoli Ocean Park for my honeymoon. We received a room upgrade and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. The atmosphere in the hotel was very tranquil and relaxing.....somewhere you can forget all your cares!
The food in the Atlantic buffet restaurant was always superb with a good selection every day, and the staff were very attentive....what you'd expect in a 5 star hotel. All other staff were extremely polite and friendly - everyone from the reception staff to the guys by the pool. I loved having someone put my towel on my sun lounger for me!
Like many of the hotels in Funchal, the Ocean Park has a courtesy bus taking you down to the marina and Old Town. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone else. |

We stayed at the Ocean Park Resort for one week in August and it was woderful! The staff was curteous, efficient and professional, when they found out it was our wedding anniversary they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room. The whole layout of the hotel is perfect. T. Maduro |

Stayed for 7 nights May 2002Booked this Hotel through Strawberry World, based on Madeira Island. Cheaper than direct with hotel.... (English version).Excellent Rooms and quality service. Nothing seems to much for the friendly staff.Great amenities with indoor and outdoor pool.Good restaurants and the food is fine quality. The place is well appointed and spotlessly clean.Have a cocktail in the piano bar in the early evening whilst you relax and listen to teh music.Lives up to it's 5 star rating, even down to the frequent courtesy bus into Funchal town. |

I have just come back from one week at the Ocean Park Hotel and it was amazing. I chose this hotel after reading other people's comment on this site.
If you can its definatly worth getting a suite. I had one on the 10th floor with a huge terrace which was perfect for late night room service meals. (that were cheap and good).
The hotel is in a perfect location from everything and is close to the main "dual carriage way" which makes visiting the island easy.
The breakfast was excellent and included cold champagne. We decided against half board as our travel agent (Strawberry World) said it was expensive for what it was and that it is better ot eat in any of the numerous restaurants near by.
And if you want a good travel agent I recommend Strawberry World based in Funchal. It was cheaper than most other sites and they advised which hotel would best suit our profile. |
