Toronto is one of the largest cities in North America and it is also Canada's most populated city. The weather in Toronto is moderate compared to other Canadian cities. The first inhabitants in Toronto were the Iroquios tribes who were later on replaced by the Huron tribes. The city's name were said to come from the word “tkaronto” in Iroquois language. The British monarchs took over Toronto in the 18th century which then became the financial and cultural center of Canada in the 19th century.

Millions of people travel to Toronto to join its many colorful festivals including the Pride Parade in June, Caribana Festival in July and Cavalcade of Lights in November. Winters can also be fun in Toronto because of its wonderful events such as the Toronto Winter City Festival in January and Yorkville Icefest in February. Toronto's diverse attractions make it a popular destination for families. The more mature would surely be impressed with the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, CN Tower, Spadina House and Toronto City Hall. The kids, on the other hand, would definitely have fun at the Ontario Science Centre, Ontario Place and Toronto Zoo.
The fastest way to get around Toronto is via LRT, subway and streetcar. There are also lots of taxis in the city but they are quite expensive. Another great option is cycling.
