Tryp Apolo Hotel is a 4 Star hotel on Avenida del Paralelo. This is a very modern building with a green and yellow facade. It is a corner building with a beautiful design especially the detail on the top balconies and the top cornice balustrade is so stylish.
Walking into the marble floored expanse of the lobby it is immediately apparent that the main clientele are business people. The lobby has a couple of seating areas and offers access to the business center and the Restaurante La Terraza. |

* Restaurante La Terraza:
La Terraza comprises a ground floor café level, where buffet breakfasts are also served, with a more formal upstairs area where à la carte lunch and dinner are served. Both share the same kitchen. The bottom level has an entrance from the street. Upstairs there is art on the walls and the likes of lamb, paella, and fish soup on the menu. The upstairs restaurant space is warm with an interior terrace to the rear that is open in summer.
* There are 11 multipurpose meeting rooms equipped with high tech audio-visual systems. The largest can seat up to 600 delegates. Functions catered for include everything from conferences and small meetings through to weddings. |

There are a lot of mixed reviews about this Hotel and it is almost as though there is a decent half to it and a grotty half, judging by the split. If this is so, I must say we were in the good half. It was clean, tidy and staff were helpful. Location was good ...
We stayed in the Tryp Apolo during September 2003 and found the hotel to be excellent. The front desk were very helpful on our arrival and we found our room to be very nice. Location wise I think the hotel was ideal within easy walking distance to Las Ramblas ...
