The vall de bas hotel is situated next to the natural reserve of the garrotxa, a volcanic area whith more than 40 visible volcanoes. its main building is the can trona country house which was built in 1757. this is where 12 of the rooms are located. it has double rooms, superior double rooms with a terrace/ garden, junior suites with a living room and terrace and master suites with three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a terrace. there will be a volcanic spa amongst its facilities, with treatments based on earth and fire surrounding the hotel. the spa is anticipated to open in 2009.

Location:located in joanetes, a municipality of la vall d'en bas in the region of la garrotxa, about 8 km. from olot and about 50 km. from girona.
