I booked a package vacation with gtahotels.com including airfare 6 nights at the Vysehrad Hotel breakfast included. My daughter and I were both very happy with our accomodations and with the very helpfull staff. We could not have ask for a more pleasant trip. Hope to return to Prague someday and will definitly plan to stay at the Vysehrad again.

Ok so this would not be a 4 star hotel in Western Europe. The rooms are a little small but they were clean. The decor is very kitsch. The plastic-like chandeliers and the fountain in the lobby aren't exactly in the best of tatse but the place is good value for money. The last reviewer said it was a little far from the Metro. It is literally a 5 min walk (if even). We made the mistake the first day of getting out at Vysehrad Metro when in actual fact the metro after that is far nearer to the hotel. This hotel is fine and I would stay there again but I would pfrefer to be nearer to a metro stop on line A instead of C. All the important stops are on line A and the airport bus goes from one end of it. Any hotel near Mustek or Muzeum will be bang on in the center.

A wonderful hotel except for the location. Although it is only two stops down from Wenceslas Square, it is only truly accessible by subway. The hotel is about a seven minute walk to the station. There appears to be no tram accessibility to and from this hotel. This is a negative because Prague is best viewed via the tram. It is travel by tram that helps one appreciate the architecture and attitude of the city.

Having read the reviews before I left, I was confused as to what to expect. I need not have worried. The Hotel was a few seconds over 6 mins amble from the metro stop beyond Vysehrad itself, or alternatively the tram was only a few yards further on, and a very pleasant ride. (no 18). ?4 ish buys you a 3 day pass for all tram, metro and bus travel, and is valid for 72 hours from validation, very good value. The hotel was as we expected of a 4* hotel in eastern europe. Clean and tidy but no frills. (No tea and coffee facilities in the room, but very cheap and nearly always available in the bar). The staff were lovely and always willing to help, but not in your face. At ?50 per night on a deal, and very good and inexpensive food and drink in the restaurant, I can only recommend this as a place to stay if you want to keep your costs down. We would go again.

Very happy with the hotel and its location. Nearest metro station is a short walk away and it only takes a few minutes to reach main areas of Prague because of the very efficient transport system.
Bedroom comfortable and very clean; breakfast a wide-ranging buffet; staff helpful-although a little uncertain about us leaving luggage when we arrived early.
We only paid just over ?30 p.p.per night so thought that this hotel was good value.
