This very charming Weisses Kreuz Hotel is the most centrally located hotel for sightseeing in Innsbruck.
The town's main attraction, the Golden Roof, is located 10 meters from the hotel and an abundance of bars and restaurants are to be found in the surrounding streets. Dating back to 1465 this is surely one of the most historic hotels in Austria.
Visitors cannot fail to be enchanted by the fountain on the first floor, or the wood paneled breakfast room.

The noisiest hotel ever !
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and chose this hotel because of its central location but during these 3 nights, there was incredible noise coming from outside. It was October and the windows were tightly closed and we were staying on the top (5th) floor and we -literally- could not sleep until 3 a.m. everyday. people were drinking, screaming, singing and yelling outside until late hours. There is a Mc Donalds next to the hotel and many bars and cafes around. Maybe because of that - we don't know- but it was the noisiest hotel room we'd ever stayed at. Aside from that, our room was small and as it was on the attic floor, the ceiling was sloped and my husband hit his head on the celing everytime he tried to use the toilet. (He is 1.75m. tall - not that tall, I mean). The mirror is not placed above the wash basin but on its left side, which was weird. The breakfast was really poor: two kinds of jam, two or three kinds of cheese and ham. Corn flakes and eggs. Only the breads were marvellous - but only if you go early, you can find these delicious kinds of bread, or you will have to eat some ordinary ones. The receptionists and cleaning ladies were nice and friendly. All in all, despite some good points, I would never ever recommend such a noisy and uncomfortable place to anyone even if the room was free, because after a long day around the city, everyone would like to have a nice, comfortable and peaceful sleep.
