basic but okay

Finding a room in central London can be a bit of a pain but if you are looking for a base rather than an experience then consider here..... It used to be the residential bit of a college and you can tell it's a bit, well tired... so no ensuite and a basic room, but it's clean and very central ( about 10 minute stroll to the houses of parliament). Breakfast is simple and communal (between 8am and 9am) and it is nice to stay opposite a cricket ground shoe horned into the square.

Good deal

I stayed at the Wellington for 1 week at the of this summer. Personally, I found the whole experience at Wellington Hotel as a good deal. The location is very convenient. Vincent Square is a very quiet area that is very close to major sights. I was travelling by myself, and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The room was very small, with a single bed, small TV, telephone, desk, sink, and cupboard, but it was clean, with daily cleaning service. Depending on what side of the hotel your room is, the street noise may be bothersome, but I returned to the hotel so tired that I fell asleep instantly! The bathroom was adequately OK. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, Wellington is a great value hotel for London if you just need a place to crash.
