My wife and I spent a 4 day weekend in Munich, Dec. 5-9,'02, staying at the small, but clean Kurpflaz hotel. The hotel is out of the way and the rooms are small, but we could smell the fresh varnish, and immediately noticed the new fixtures in the bathroom. Getting around Munich is a snap on the subway system, once we found the Hackerbrucke station near our hotel. Almost all Germans speak good English, and were eager to help. Most restaurants have English menu's, and the bier is still the best in the world. However, be prepared for cold temperatures; we only saw the sun briefly during our 4 days (this was December). |

Kurpfalz is a wonderful hotel in Munich. It's not very far from the train station. The room is clean , new , and inexpensive. Nearby location, you can find a very good & cheap German Style Restaurant. The reception staff also has high hospitality and very helpful. |

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in August 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The room was clean, bright and nicely furnished. Furthermore, the bathroom was really nice with a good, well-maintained suite. The hotel was also very efficient and immediately after we arrived a member of the maintenance staff came to change one of the lightbulbs. As others have said the breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice from healthy options through to cheeses and bacon. Regarding the hotel's location, it was conveniently situated for the train station and a comfortable 30 minute walk from the centre of Munich. All in all, we felt completely happy at the hotel and would recommend it to others as excellent value for money. |

stood in the kurpfalz hotel during oktoberfestvial and i was really impressed not only cause of the excellent location of this small hotel; as well i was surprised what a nice room i got and how extensive the breakfast was.HOT TIP: i recommend to phone hotels directly in case of reservation. you will always get better rates if you make reservation directly with the hotels instead through an travel agent ; of course you dont have to pay booking fee or commission ;-) |
