This was our second trip to Paris, and we had a great experience at the hotel. We arrived at about 11am, after an overnight flight, and we greeted by a very charming woman at the front desk. Since we were staying 8 nights, it was a bit of a challenge finding a room that was available for the entire stay, that was ready. She persisted and offered us a large room, with no view, or a smaller room with a view. Of course we took the view, and were rewarded with french doors opening to a spectacular view of the Tuilleries, Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Yes the room was small, by US standards, but very comfortable. Marble bath and high-end linens and towels didn't hurt. One thing to be aware of - the mini-bar!. When you move - or remove any item, even if it is replaced, you will be automatically charged! They do provide a designated area for guest use though. Most staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Restaurant prices are ridiculous. Had a fabulous meal 2 blocks away at Le Souffle - less than 100 euro for 3 courses each, and a couple glasses of great bubbly.

We recently stayed at the Intercontinental for three days of our European family vacation. We travelled with another family and had some difficulty booking rooms for two families. The Intercontinental was wonderful to work with and booked three rooms side by side. The lobby is fantastic and the hospitality staff are wonderful. The rooms were modest in size but with very tall ceilings and wonderful upholstery and decor. The baths are decent sized and everything functions well. Take a look at the Salons while you are there, they are incredible. The best thing about the Intercontinental is definitely the location. Everything that you could possibly need is within a brief walk. The Louvre is across the street and a Metro stop is around the corner. Restaurants, Cafes, and incredible shopping are an easy walk away. In short, the Intercontinental was a wonderful place to spend the Paris leg of our trip and I would highly recommend it, especially if you can get a discount rate.

We stayed at the Paris Intercontinental the week of Dec. 7th, 2003 and although the lobby was impressive, it stops there. We've stayed at many 5 star resorts and this, I would rate just a little below. The service by the staff was mediocre to say the least, and the rooms were average.
The bar/lounge was very smokey, and being non-smokers, we didn't stay there long. A word of advise, most of the restaurants in paris are filled with smokers, except in the fine dining restaurants. We were on the 3rd floor, and still heard music in the middle of the night coming from the band that was playing for a wedding on the lobby level. We also stayed at the Hyatt Madeleine in Paris and absolutely recommend that over this hotel. It was much cozier, less smokey, and the staff was extremely accomodating.

Stayed at the Intercontinental while travelling with two children (10 and 13 yrs old; three total in the room). The hotel lobby and staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The concierge recommended several restaurants/stores and also arranged two excursions to my satisfaction. We were in a "deluxe" room with a courtyard view (which I prefer as you don't have any street noise) that accommodated a comfortable rollaway bed that was free of charge. The room was nicely appointed, very comfortable, and large by Parisian standards. I have stayed at many luxury hotels around the world and found the Intercontinental an excellent value and would definitely stay there again.

A great experience. The staff was attentive and friendly. The rooms were wonderful - we had a great view of the Park. And speaking of the Park, joggers will love rolling out of the hotel and into the Tuilleries, around the Louvre then up the Seine. The location was simply perfect. I don't have a single complaint about this hotel.

I stayed five nights at the Paris IC in early March. I loved the location - so convenient to everything you would want to see in Paris: the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay, Eiffel Tower, etc. The check-in staff was very accomodating and the conceriege helpful. The room was very large by European standards, tastefully decorated. There was just one major problem throughout my stay - NOISE! There was construction / repair noise almost every day until seven or so at night. The housekeeping staff made the area directly outside my room their "staging" area for my floor and consequently was awoken early every day by their banter and equipement. Lucky me! To their credit, an IC hotel manager responded quickly to my comments, with a promise of an upgrade on my next visit. I appreciate their efforts.

This is a great hotel. We stayed for 5 days December 18th 2003. The club level is small, but first class. Try to book on the club level if you can, breakfast, drinks and snacks. It may not be the best "5 Star" hotel, but for the money in Paris its a bargin.

Stayed here 10 days in late July 04.
Wonderful! Hotel was beautiful, room was very big and nice! Room AC felt great!Had room on back side, quiet, big bath. Daughter joined us later in our stay and our room was still PLENTY big with a fold out sofa, walk in closet.
Great location for many cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums, sightseeing. We had great internet rate for club level that was well worth it. All the hotel staff were wonderful, very helpful and courteous. Very nice decor, courtyard was a nice centerpoint, day and night.
Club lvl breakfast, tea time and cocktail hour was a delight. Club level concierge and staff was tops! Nice folks. Nightly champagne was very pleasant break after sightseeing and before dinner...
Only ate 1 meal in hotel...there were so many quaint and good places to eat next door and withing blocks. Emailed concierge ahead for dinner reservations on Eiffel Tower, Altitude 95 and we got the best window seat thru his efforts. Very knowledgable and resourceful main concierge staff!
We had early check in confirmed ahead due to early flight arrival. All super smooth. VERY nice hotel. Highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful place to take my wife to fulfill a 20 yr old promise.
