First time at it's best
Me and my wife visited the Grand Canyon last 4th of July and were really happy with the accommodation and service we received from Yavapai Lodge. Spending that special holiday at the hotel made it more memorable for us because of its peaceful atmosphere, wonderful sights and great views. We even get to enjoy the spectacular firework display while sipping on a glass of wine right from our own room. What is great about this 2-star hotel is that all rooms are non-smoking which is very beneficial for us since we both have poor health. The hotel has a choice of air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms and of course we chose the air-conditioned room that has a king-size bed. Usually budget hotels have communal shower rooms which we really dislike but this one has its own shower room. For just $163 per night, the comfort and convenience we got from the hotel made this such a great deal! I would highly recommend Yavapai Lodge to first-time travelers to Grand Canyon because of the cheap rates and its amenities as well. The hotel staff was also very friendly helping me and my wife arrange our activities each day including the exciting whitewater raft tour. After that, my wife and I checked out the cool stuff inside the Grand Canyon National Park like the galleries, museums and gift shops where we bought some souvenirs. We were glad that the hotel has free shuttle service because it made it easier for us to see the other attractions outside the park.
